Caspar Schwarz Architects developed a new office concept for the European headquarters of the world largest player in the global energy market.

The focal point of the newly designed premises in The Hague is a large area that places shared experiences at the centre of the floor plan. This “social heart” connects the departments, encourages informal dialogue and acts as a spatial link between zones for focused work and areas for meetings. A sense of security and comfort is conveyed by the form and choice of material – without isolating the area from the surrounding workspace.

Graphic elements play an important role throughout the interior, reinforcing orientation as well as identity.

The work areas support both focused work and collaboration equally. Meeting rooms and project areas are strategically arranged around the central heart, ensuring intuitive way-finding and visual cohesion across the 2,400 m² space.

The Mera office swivel chair with Diamond embossing forms the perfect complement to over 250 workstations, combining an inviting atmosphere with a sense of security and comfort.
