Thanks to a long and excellent partnership, Weststrate took the role of project designer and was able to complete the new sustainable logistics and distribution centre for refuse bag manufacturer Dimensio in Almere, Netherlands. The company, which specialises in bin liners, has led by example in this project, investing in sustainability in both build and furnishings.

Not only are there several sustainable custom products, such as conference tables made from plastic bottles – the waiting areas also boast environmentally-friendly outfitting. They are now furnished with comfy WOOOM armchairs made from felt. This material can be shaped, is lightweight, robust, sound-absorbing and 100% recyclable. And best of all: Felt is made of up to 60% recovered polyester fibre from PET bottles – making it perfect for the sustainable outfitting concept created by Weststrate for Dimensio.
