Connex Mesh Melange – A new chapter in mesh back design

Conventional mesh fabrics are often too transparent, appear technically cold and generate unnecessary waste during production. There is often a lack of choice when it comes to colour design – especially when the back and seat are to have a uniform look.

This is where Connex Mesh Melange comes in: the fabric is knitted to fit perfectly without any waste. It is breathable, elastic and provides noticeable comfort in every sitting position. The four mottled colours – anthracite, black, green and taupe – also ensure a harmonious, modern aesthetics and allow for a consistent colour selection across the backrest and seat.

But the swivel chair is not only impressive because of its appearance. 'The automatically adaptive lumbar support was inspired by the vertebrae of a toy snake. Based on its flexibility and manoeuvrability, the Lordomat supports the back as an integral part of the mesh covering and actively follows every movement of the user.'

Design meets high-quality craftsmanship

For Connex Mesh Melange, each mesh is knitted from different coloured yarns. This creates an exciting effect: visually a single colour tone – but in detail full of depth and nuances. The 3D-knitted fabric fits perfectly around the characteristic Connex backrest, emphasising the striking lines and giving the chair visibly and noticeably more volume.The result is a high-quality aesthetic with textile warmth.

Connex Mesh Melange also shines with its technical features: with up to 200,000 Martindale abrasion cycles and a pilling value of 4-5, the knitted mesh fabric impresses with its high durability – even with intensive use.

Noticeably sustainable

Sustainability is a top priority for the Connex Mesh Melange: the mesh melange nets used are manufactured with 0% waste, meaning they generate no waste. The seat cover of the model is made from 78% recycled polyester, while the backrest cover is made from 65% recycled polyester. Both are complemented by bouclé and monofilament fibres for comfort and stability. Simply arrive, sit down, feel good and get started.

Another addition to the Mesh Melange series is Connex Signature | Edition Simply Taupe. This exclusive version of the Connex Mesh Melange features a taupe-coloured base and matching backrest support, which was developed specifically for the Signature Edition. A new textile panel visually extends the backrest and connects it to the seat, creating a uniform, sophisticated silhouette. The overall design ensures a harmonious appearance that blends comfortably into a variety of interiors – unobtrusive, elegant and well thought-out.
