Whether you have a cool office in an old building or a warm workspace right by the window – the Mera swivel chair has intelligent climate technology to ensure the right temperature for comfortable sitting. And all this with incredibly smart controls: Both functions – heating and ventilation – can be regulated via a knob with two different settings, and both switch off automatically when the user stands up.

CABLE-FREE FOR INDEPENDENCE

Thanks to its cable-free battery operation, Mera Klima is the perfect office chair for entrance areas, open space offices, IT and pharmacy cleanrooms, airports and station concourses, or rooms with extreme air conditioning. The same applies to counter workstations, warehouses and buildings that are poorly heated or have no air conditioning.

AN ENERGY-NEUTRAL OFFICE

The Dutch Central Government Real Estate Agency is investing in sustainable innovations in their pilot project to achieve an energy-neutral office. For this project they have set up a test environment in Rijswijk. The idea is to create a practical simulation for the transition to energy-neutral buildings. Including: Mera, the first office chair with patented climate control from by Klöber.

Reducing the heating output by Ø 2° C results in an annual saving of 4,800.00 € and reducing the climate temperature by Ø 2° C can save 3,200.00 € per year. So at today’s prices it’s possible to save 8,000.00 € on annual energy costs with Mera Klima, and the additional expenditure incurred through the purchase of 100 Mera Klima chairs can be recouped within 6.1 years.

Mera ESD is designed for use in electrostatically protected areas, where a dangerous electrostatic discharge (ESD) can occur suddenly. For example when manufacturing or handling sensitive electronic components in companies or institutions.

DISCHARGES STATIC CURRENT

The ESD specification of the Klöber Mera task chair provides two protection strategies against harmful electrostatic discharge. Special upholstery fabrics, special paints and materials are used to make the contact surfaces conductive, which prevents the user from accumulating an electrostatic charge Mera ESD also earths any existing charges by conducting them slowly through the anti-static chair structure – as long as it’s used on a suitably conductive floor covering.

Every Mera ESD chair is tested before shipping. A test voltage of 100 V is used to measure the conductive resistance of every potential contact surface. The result is recorded in the test report provided with every chair.

The Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation confirmed the conductive properties of the Mera ESD (mer98 and mer98k).

EXCEPTIONAL IN ALL RESPECTS

Mera XS-XL is for creative minds in all shapes and sizes, because this office chair is already available in special sizes – in line with the Dutch NRP guideline, which allows for special sizes far beyond those stated in the DIN norm. The seat slides 10 cm further forward, the maximum seat height is extended by 4 cm, and the chair can be set to support a body weight of 140 kg. The package is rounded off with multifunction arm supports that have an adjustment range especially for very tall and short people.
