The two editions in the Connex Signature range combine a consistent, cross-material colour scheme with the series’ characteristic signature elements. The base, backrest supports, mesh and fabric panel interlock tone-on-tone, creating a calm, architectural overall effect.

Whilst the Stone Grey edition, with its monochrome grey hue, appears clear, minimalist and striking, the Simply Taupe edition opts for a warm, natural colour palette with elegant restraint.

With Connex Mesh Melange, each mesh section is knitted from different coloured yarns. This results in an exciting effect: visually it’s a single shade – but zoom in on the detail and it’s full of depth and nuances. The 3D knitted fabric fits perfectly around the characteristic Connex backrest, emphasising the distinctive shape and visibly boosting the chair’s volume. This creates a premium aesthetic along with textile warmth – the start of a new chapter in mesh backrest design.

VIBRANT DIMENSION

The special feature of the Connex Mesh Melange is its mottled mesh fabric. It is made of 100% durable polyester with a high recycled content and hugs the back snugly. The special melange look in the finished 3D mesh fabric is created by interweaving multicoloured yarns that present different colour variations depending on the viewing distance and perspective.

CONSCIOUS DESIGN

The melange mesh sections used are produced with 0% offcuts and therefore generate no waste. The high proportion of recycled polyester in the 3D fabric only varies slightly depending on whereabouts it is used in the chair: in the seat, the mesh is made of 78% recycled polyester and 22% bouclé. 13% monofilament is used in the backrest to ensure dimensional stability, as well as 65% recycled polyester and 22% bouclé.
