Modern office chair architecture: Connex2 from Klöber

The new Connex2 comes with a 3D mesh backrest: a breathable mesh knit that’s three-dimensionally mouldable to provide dynamic support for your back.

The new Lordomat® design is a lumbar support that intelligently and automatically adjusts itself to the correct height. It actively follows every movement at the point where the back needs individually-tailored support.
Combination diversity: Connex2 allows users to choose from a variety of mesh colours, upholstery fabrics and colours for the contrasting controls.
The high back variant can be supplied with an additional cushion to take the strain off the neck.
Sturdy support with maximum flexibility: Connex2 adapts to the user with minimal intervention.

Owingen, October 2018. Sturdy support with maximum flexibility – the mesh backrest of the Connex2 task chair has been redesigned based on the skeleton construction principle used in architecture. With this project, in-house designer Jörg Bernauer has created the premise for a world innovation that is integrated within Klöber’s successful model – the Lordomat®. The skeleton structure of the backrest and the mesh merge together with the mobile lumbar support to form a single aesthetic unit.

Clear form and comfortable sitting: these are the features that characterise Klöber’s award-winning Connex2 chair. It offers fully automatic function responses as well as a three-dimensionally mobile seat – a recipe that ensures a pleasant sitting experience in the ideal position. This time Klöber has incorporated an innovative backrest into the redeveloped version of this successful model.  

 

World innovation: Lordomat®                                                        
The new Lordomat® design is a mobile lumbar support that intelligently and automatically adjusts itself to the correct height. This innovative product actively follows every movement at the point where the back needs individually-tailored support. The Lordomat® forms a single unit with the backrest structure, and feels pleasant in combination with the mesh as a homogeneous element of the chair.

 

Simply smart

The flexible structure of the backrest, the Lordomat® and the automatic mechanism makes Connex2 mesh back an ideal task chair for open space offices and multi-user workstations. It adapts to the user with minimal intervention. The uniform mesh structure communicates an aesthetically clear yet homely image. An additional cushion can be used with the high back variant to take the strain off the neck. Colour-coded controls ensure intuitive use as well as a contrasting feature.

Constant contact with the pelvis during the entire movement. No "shirtdragging" effect.
An abradant and a fabric are subjected to a rubbing motion using the Martindale method. Abrasion resistance is stated in rub cycles. Rub cycles are used as a unit, like grams or centimetres. The fabric is more durable the higher the number of cycles.

3D arm supports
The armrest top is adjustable by 5 cm in depth and by approx. 3 cm in width without tools. The armrest top is made from soft TPU foam with a pleasant soft feel that is gentle to the skin.

The Quality Office guideline defines quality standards for office furnishings in accordance with the latest ergonomic findings.
Counter chair
Counter chairs are intended specifically for use at checkouts, at counters and reception desks in the retail and wholesale sectors, airports, info points, hotels hospitals and banks.

Targets for the sustainability and environmental compatibility of the products are defined in the product development process and the ecological footprint requirements are stipulated as part of the quality assessment. The ecological footprint includes both the recycling rate and an assessment of the energy input.

DLX® (Duo-Latex) mesh. Breathable 2-ply technology featuring flexible latex fabric for optimum pressure distribution in the seat and back avoids pressure points and promotes circulation.
