The main branch of the Bezirkssparkasse savings bank in the centre of Reichenau Island was extended in 2012 to provide additional office space for its 120 employees. The understated, modern architecture of the original building was replicated in the new extension, with smooth transitions between the two structures.
Individual and open-space offices flooded with light create a pleasant working atmosphere. The entire extension has been furnished with Klöber task chairs from the Duera product family.
In addition to the ergonomic aspects and good price-performance ratio, the features that won over both employees and directors at the Sparkasse were the task chair’s sitting comfort and intuitive operation.
With its transparent mesh back and striking curved backrest, Duera fits in perfectly with the colour scheme and furniture style of the modern offices. The offices have also been furnished with visitor chairs for brief meetings and informal communication.
In the course of the decision process, Bezirkssparkasse employees tested task chairs from several different office furniture manufacturers in a three-week trial. Eric Streif, Facility Manager at the Bezirkssparkasse, confirmed the staff satisfaction. “We’re not giving back these chairs … They feel great – really comfortable!”
