We don’t believe in outsourcing at Klöber: the entire production cycle including prototype building, production of tools, fabric cutting, sewing, upholstery and assembly is all done in-house. From the designer’s initial idea, through the manufacturing process to the point at which chairs are shipped worldwide - everything happens in Owingen.

Margarete Klöber - a young foreign correspondent at the time, identified the need for healthy sitting in the mid-1930s.
She founded her “health chair factory” aged just 25, and continued to develop her vision of ergonomic seating: with a clever marketing strategy, good understanding of sales principles – and the “Polstergleich” office chair.
