Register nowNew work models need new space concepts that promote the comfort and motivation of employees. As a seating specialist, Klöber knows how to bring a breath of fresh air to the workplace of the future with innovative solutions. Thanks to many years of expertise, a close relationship with the progress of science, an open corporate culture and finally a location that’s synonymous with a high quality of living for the workforce, they’ve achieved this again and again. For instance with Klöber’s most recent seating solutions: Connex2 mesh back and WOOOM.
Founded in 1935 by Margarete Klöber as a health chair factory, Klöber now ranks amongst the leading manufacturers of office seating in Germany. Around 130 employees contribute to the Klöber success story on a daily basis at the company facility in Owingen on the shores of Lake Constance. The portfolio includes seating solutions for management offices, standard workstations, conference rooms, open space offices and co-working spaces – as well as lobbies and communication zones.
Trailblazing product developments
Flexibility, creativity and courage are attributes that lead to true innovation at Klöber. Close cooperation with creative geniuses from other industries has opened up new directions – new and smart solutions are the result. These designs are often patented – such as the Klöber Klimatechnologie® with its “Heating” and “Ventilation” functions for the Mera and Moteo chairs, or the Lordomat®, which is now being incorporated in the Connex2 mesh back chair for the first time.
Klöber Klimatechnologie®
It proved quite a challenge to integrate functions inspired by a car seat into a battery-powered office chair. The result is evidence of the Owingen-based company’s great passion for innovation. But it’s not just the in-house development – the design has to look good too. Our designer and product developer Jörg Bernauer is responsible for that. His latest coup is the revamped Connex2 task chair.
Modern office chair archiecture – Connex2
Clear form, comfortable sitting: those are the characteristic features of the Connex2 product family. Now Klöber has incorporated an innovative backrest into the enhanced version of this successful chair: the new skeleton structure of the backrest and its mesh panel merge together with the Lordomat® to form a single aesthetic unit. This new lumbar support intelligently and automatically adjusts itself to the correct height and feels pleasant. This innovative product actively follows every movement at the point where the back needs individually-tailored support.
“Work” and “Room” – WOOOM
The new WOOOM shell chair is a fusion of two components as well: the task chair concept is inspired by the concepts of “Work” (conventional office furniture that makes practical working easier) and “Room” (a homely feel and privacy to encourage creativity). It’s the perfect place to relax actively with its range of comfort functions – for example the three-zone massage function, or Klimatechnologie®. The writing shelf (40 x 48 cm) ensures maximum efficiency, as does the USB 2 point for charging all standard devices. The wing chair variant also features an integral LED reading light. All functions can be controlled via app (iOS and Android device).
Relaunch of ConWork – individualism par excellence
ConWork isn’t a classic office chair, it’s a visual statement. It ticks all the boxes thanks to a high degree of freedom with regard to to configuration, colour and material. It’s ingeniously easy to use, making manual settings unnecessary. So it’s ideal for agile working in agencies, creative hotspots, start-ups or co-working spaces.
