The Rabobank banking business from the Netherlands opted for the flowing lines and clear structure of the Moteo conference chair series by Klöber to furnish the prestigious conference room in the newly-constructed Arnhem office. The combination of materials – high-gloss mirrored lacquer in white, polished aluminium and the royal blue upholstery of the conference chairs – fits in perfectly with the ultra-modern atmosphere of the new building, serving as a clear and systematic embodiment of the bank’s unique corporate culture.
Rabobank was founded at the end of the 19th century in the Netherlands as a banking cooperative to meet the financing needs of the rural economy. Since then the bank has become the market leader in the Dutch agricultural sector. Today 153 independent local banks belong to the Rabobank Group, making it the largest branch network in the Netherlands. The Rabobank Group is the world number one in the agriculture and foods industry.
The Moteo conference chair by designer Jörg Bernauer received the reddot design award 2010, the GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2011 in Chicago, and was nominated for the
Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany
2011.
Klöber was also responsible for furnishing the conference rooms at Rabobank Groene Hart Noord and 135 workstations at Rabobank Rijn- en Veenstromen.
