Register nowOwingen, April 2017 | Around 15 years after the introduction of Tasso Lounge, top seating manufacturer Klöber has brought the updated programme, known as Tasso 2.0, onto the market in 2017. This elegant upholstered collection consists of two sofas, an armchair and a matching side table. It combines representative qualities with a high level of sitting comfort – and its premium workmanship is nothing short of amazing.
The Tasso 2.0 collection can be configured as needed, making it ideally suited to the requirements of diverse situations such as waiting areas, communication zones or places of retreat.
A new interpretation of a classic
The cuboid structure of the Tasso sofa family and the generous proportions are still there even after the relaunch. The soft contours are new, offering a figure-hugging form whilst still achieving clear-cut design precision. The generously-proportioned backrest and seat upholstery of this furniture collection are a key factor to ensure well-being. It’s also possible to sit comfortably for long periods with regular position changes. The seat upholstery is made from three layers of cold-cure foam joined together in a wedge-shape, each with different hardness properties. This means that the seat slopes downwards slightly towards the backrest. The side sections and backrest of this furniture are fully upholstered. The accurate seam positioning and precise, streamlined finishing of the materials emphasise the top-quality “made in Germany” craftsmanship.
Two leathers, three fabric groups
The Tasso 2.0 seating group is available in either leather or fabric. Customers can choose from two top-grade leathers – the “Ranchero” cowhide is a new addition to the range for the Owingen-based manufacturer. It has a natural finish, is specially impregnated to protect against staining and is characterised by its distinctive soft feel. In addition to leather, three high-quality fabrics with different compositions are also offered. The “Comfort” upholstery fabric, for example, is breathable, antistatic and fire-retardant.
Aluminium legs with a special function
The superior upholstery construction of the Tasso 2.0 seating group is based on a slimline frame with a flowing transition into the polished aluminium legs at each corner. Special dual-purpose glides at floor contact points allow the seat units to be used on a variety of floor types, where they can be moved around easily without scratching. The glides flip over easily as required, providing a smooth point of contact for carpets and a soft side for parquet floors or tiles.
A table top for your daily business needs
The matching side table has a top made from Fenix, a nanotech material which is resistant to impact and scratches, repels water and has antibacterial properties. Light reflection or fingerprints don’t stand a chance on this new-generation surface. The table takes up the slim aluminium idiom in its frame, carrying on the clear and precise design of the seating.
Contemporary design from Owingen
Jörg Bernauer, designer and product developer at Klöber, is the brain behind Tasso 2.0: “By reducing the design idiom down to clear, modern essentials, the idea behind a piece of furniture comes into view. The classic form, fine details and high level of sitting comfort make Tasso 2.0 timeless and enduring, so that it looks right in any room.”
