Erlangen-Höchstadt is “one of the best administrative districts in Bavaria” – those were the words of Bavaria’s state premier Markus Söder at the inauguration of the new district administration offices in July 2018.
This statement set the bar high for the new administrative building, which is why they furnished it with 372 Mera task chairs and seven Ciello boardroom chairs from the Klöber portfolio. Modern chairs for a modern building: There are nearly 400 employees at the Landratsamt Erlangen, and they are well equipped to handle their daily work routine with the Klöber Mera – the “chair for all applications” – and the Klöber Ciello with its clear, slender silhouette.
The high-profile architects’ office “AllesWirdGut” is responsible for the design of this special building. The Viennese architects secured the EU-wide architects’ tender for themselves in 2010 with their clover leaf design. A homogeneous façade deliberately avoids the impression of a separate front and back. As a result, the whole building comes across as a single unit.
The district of Erlangen has a population of 135 824 and is situated in the Bavarian administrative region of Mittelfranken.
