Klöber is well-known for innovative product solutions for offices. Now we’re establishing the new Kretho brand, which gives us the opportunity to apply our expertise in many more areas of life. The focus of Kretho is versatile furniture for living and working, mainly made from recycled felt produced in a project involving the community.

“Creating ingenious product solutions is in our DNA. That’s why it’s great that we’re in a position to dedicate even more scope to this aptitude with the new Kretho brand,” says Ralf Johow, CEO at Klöber. “Rooms and premises need to be ready for constantly changing expectations these days. So the Kretho range incorporates unconventional furniture designs for the homes and offices of tomorrow, which can be altered flexibly and used in a variety of contexts.”

Consumer and brand in consultation
What stands out about the new brand is that the ideas for this seating are conceived by professional designers and product developers working together with the community. This collaboration allows Kretho to find out which functions an item of furniture should fulfil to ensure it enhances everyday life. To achieve this, Kretho implements state-of-the-art concepts and processes: workshops and events serve as a platform for creative brainstorming – but this is also where the initial prototypes are built.

Flexible, robust and sustainable
The focus of the Kretho brand is the material used – it’s felt made from recycled PET bottles, a raw material that’s sustainable and therefore environmentally friendly. The identifying characteristics of PET felt are its soft finish and pleasant feel, as well as its robustness and flexibility – qualities that make it ideal for a variety of applications. Our plan is for Kretho products to be equally versatile and flexible, allowing them to be used in diverse areas of life.

Fresh new additions to the portfolio
The new Kretho brand particularly appeals to anyone who enjoys young, fresh product solutions – to people who care about the environment but also don’t want to be without well-engineered comfort.

We’re offering Klöber dealers a selection of Kretho products to complement their portfolio and to target a new and unconventional audience looking for fashionable furnishing solutions on a budget.
