Owingen, March 2022. The Fraunhofer Institut inspected LIM Pure for resistance to cleaning substances and disinfectants. It passed the test!
It scored highly for chemical resistance according to the test report. In fact it achieved top marks. That makes LIM Pure particularly suitable for hygiene-critical applications – including clean rooms and medical practices.
For the chemical resistance test at the Fraunhofer Institut, material samples are exposed to ten representative reagents. These include ammonia, sulphuric acid and phosphoric acid. During the test, material samples from LIM Pure were immersed in the different chemical substances and inspected after one, three, six and 24 hours to establish whether there was any surface damage. The result: LIM Pure retains structural surface stability.
The test confirms that the chair is impervious to all disinfectant and cleaning chemicals. This level of resistance is a requirement for furniture used in clean environments. The robust properties of the material mean that LIM Pure can assure hygienic working conditions in offices, coworking spaces and home offices – and will continue to look like new even after many years of use.
