Klöber’s new sustainable shell chair is 100% recyclable. Owingen, February 2020 Sustainability’s coming home in the shape of the little WOOOM from Klöber. The new low shell chair is made from recycled polyester from reclaimed PET plastic bottles. This conserves precious resources and gives the chair an elegant cantilever structure. The little WOOOM is an eye-catcher at the dining table, in living rooms and hallways – and it’s 100% recyclable.

Owingen, September 2019. Cura is a high-performance two-coloured polyester weave fabric made from 98% post-consumer recycled PET bottles. The product is manufactured by Danish firm Gabriel, one of Europe’s leading providers of upholstery fabrics and close partner of Klöber. The new collection, offered by Klöber in 27 shades, is another step towards improving the environmental footprint for the seating manufacturer from Owingen. The company is also bringing an added bonus to the modern office in terms of environmental friendliness and high-quality design.

A roof terrace with a fantastic view over the Reeperbahn and Hamburg docks: that’s just one of the many highlights in the “Hamburger Ding”, a modern co-working space on the Nobistor in the St. Pauli district. Tomislav Karajica and Rolf Elgeti, founders of the Home United property brand, developed premises at the west end of the Reeperbahn to create space for around 300 modern workstations, event and fitness facilities, as well as restaurants on the ground floor. Freelancers, start-ups and business experts can achieve their own mix of work and play within this property concept.

With this project, in-house designer Jörg Bernauer has created the premise for a world innovation that is integrated within Klöber’s successful model – the Lordomat®. The skeleton structure of the backrest and the mesh merge together with the mobile lumbar support to form a single aesthetic unit.

A.P. Møller Maersk is the largest container shipping line in the world. The headquarters of the German office was looking to relocate in 2016, and they moved into the Ericus-Contor with their current staff of around 350. The building, which was designed by Copenhagen architects’ office Henning Larsen Architects occupies a prime location in Hamburg’s harbourside HafenCity. The new offices are furnished with chairs by Klöber, the seating manufacturer from Owingen.

Owingen, February 2018 The Connex2 task chair made by Owingen seating manufacturer Klöber received the iF DESIGN AWARD 2018 in the Office category. This successful model won over the 63 expert jury members from iF International Forum Design GmbH – the world’s oldest independent design institute.
