The new shape of sitting

The WOOOM seat shell is made of formed PET fleece material. This material is ideal for a wide range of uses thanks to its outstanding technical properties.

It’s mouldable, lightweight and robust, absorbs sound and retains its shape well. But most importantly it is 100 % recyclable. With the large WOOOM chair (woo74 and woo75) up to 37 % of the polyester fibre used can consist of recycled fibres. In the case of the small WOOOM chair (woo56, woo57 and woo58), this figure can be as high as 60 %. This recycled material is made from shredded PET bottles.

The mix ratio of polyester fibre used determines the quality of the finish.

The formed PET fleece used for the WOOOM chairs offers the perfect combination of stiffness and a pleasant felted texture. The PET fleece shell structure is also completely self-supporting.
