Owingen, August 2017 | High-quality materials, a clearly-defined shape and a simple operation concept: this is Connex2, the Klöber task chair that allows users to move intelligently. There’s a new addition to the family now: The Connex2 high-back task chair and the Connex2 high-back conference chair not only look impressive, their clear-cut design and perfect craftsmanship are setting new standards in management and executive offices.

The Owingen-based manufacturer Klöber has developed two high-backed variants based on the successful Connex2 chair. As with the original task chair, the two new variants are just the job for workplace situations where you need a sharp mind and a relaxed body: for a whole day or just an hour. This is all down to functions that kick in automatically based on user needs, giving the chair its unique simplicity and allowing dynamic sitting.

Intelligent sitting comfort for efficient working

It’s extremely simple to use: there are just three settings to adapt the chair to the size and weight of each user and adjust them according to personal preference. Everything else happens of its own accord: the automatic mechanism takes individual bodyweight into account, maintaining constant contact between the backrest and the user’s body even when leaning back. The three-dimensional seat movement encourages dynamic lateral left-right movement, supporting the natural impulse to move. The Connex2 also demonstrates its capacity to adapt when the user is leaning forwards in a concentrated working position: its front edge moves down, thereby reducing the pressure on the underside of the thigh.

Excellent craftsmanship, innovative technology

The clear-cut design was created by Klöber’s resident designer Jörg Bernauer. It is characterised by its elegant lines and comfortable curves. A unique feature is the central aluminium element, which connects the back and armrest and thus creates a formal and functional unit. The backrest is fully upholstered even on the reverse, and the upholstery is finished to an excellent standard with close attention to detail, as you would expect from Klöber. The inner workings are remarkable as well: innovative technology allows bolt-free assembly throughout, so that the backrest is extremely slim. The conference chair variant also features a return spring so that all chair backs are aligned and seats are returned to the original height after use.

Material options that create a design highlight

Both chairs are available in fabric and luxurious leather. As well as choosing the upholstery colour, the central element finish can also be selected individually. This distinctive design feature is available in polished aluminium, black or white. Furthermore the control levers come in a choice of classic black or off-white, or alternatively as a contrasting highlight in green or blue. Colour-coding the controls allows them to be clearly identified so that they are intuitive to use and therefore very useful for ensuring that the chair has the correct ergonomic settings. – Aesthetics and maximum comfort: Connex2 high-back makes a good impression in all variants.
