Environmentally-conscious behaviour

Behaving responsibly towards the environment and society is one of the most fundamental points when selecting a suitable site. That's why Klöber is committed to the Owingen site at Lake Constance. Each individual production step is checked to ensure that it meets the company's own environmental objectives. Klöber ensures the ecological compatibility of auxiliary and operating materials, standard and supplier parts, upholstery textiles and the tools and equipment used in cutting, the upholstery workshop and assembly. Energy consumption and the amount of emissions and waste produced are recorded and optimised on a regular basis.

Headquarters at Lake Constance

Klöber is committed to the Lake Constance region. Production at Lake Constance, an ecologically sensitive area, requires high corporate responsibility. This makes protecting the environment in this ecologically sensitive region an imperative need and a permanent challenge. Klöber has reached the age of 80 in this region - husbanding natural resources in a responsible manner is second nature to the company. Over 350,000 m³ of water are collected from the lake every day to supply more than 4 million people in the greater Stuttgart region with drinking water.

Sustainable product development

Following their motto "Consistently sustainable", Klöber's activities are always environmentally friendly and sustainable. For Klöber, sustainability starts as early as product development. The use of recycled materials with environmental certificates such as Second Nature™, as well as the separation into unadulterated substances and return guarantee, are taken into account from the very start. Composites and PVC materials are largely avoided. An ecological footprint of each product is prepared as part of the environmental assessment. The LEED certificates issued for every chair state the recycling quota, among other information. With easy-to-change seat and backrest upholstery, replaceable gas springs and plug-in castors and glides, Klöber office chairs are particularly easy to maintain. Durable products

Making products that last is of pre-eminent importance in the context of ecology. Appeal plays a key role in this too: people must like the product for a long time. To make products that last, Klöber focuses on a synthesis of quality, timeless and modern design, ergonomics and ecology in its products. Our expertise in using new materials with a longer service life, lower energy consumption and that make careful use of natural resources grows out of our collaboration with partners and suppliers.
