Ecology. Environmental protection. Responsibility.Conducting production operations at Lake Constance calls for a high degree of corporate responsibility. Over 350,000 cubic metres of water are extracted from the lake every day, to supply drinking water to over 3.5 million people in the Stuttgart area. This makes protecting the environment in this ecologically sensitive region an imperative need and a permanent challenge. Ecological aspects are consequently integrated into the company’s decision-making structure. By according due consideration to ecological aspects in all development processes we are able to improve the environmental compatibility of our manufacturing processes and products on an ongoing basis. The entire product life-cycle is examined for weak points. Although the manufacture of our office seating does not entail any production processes of a critical nature in terms of environmental impact, we nevertheless undertake timely precautionary measures in our procedures, activities and processes. Klöber applies process ecology: By modifying manufacturing processes, verifying the environmental compatibility of the materials and facilities it uses and ensuring environment-friendly disposal. Klöber practices product ecology: Resource-conserving principles are observed right from the development phase. The selection and processing of only environmentally compatible materials mean that Klöber products are suitable for segregated recycling.
